With a Medical Science PhD, Alicia transitioned from working as a genetics researcher and lecturer on pathology/infectious disease to a scientific editor in 2007. As a life-long writer, she has been involved in some form of online publishing for over 20 years and founded Aliconia Publishing, LLC, in 2019. Inquisitive at heart, her interests range throughout the sciences and humanities, including history and genealogy. In recent years, she's volunteered with a local cat rescue and shelter, resulting in an expansion of her interests to non-profits and animal care.
