With a Medical Science PhD, Alicia transitioned from working as a genetics researcher and lecturer on pathology/infectious disease to a scientific editor in 2007. As a life-long writer, she has been involved in various forms of online publishing for over 25 years. Inquisitive at heart, her interests range throughout the sciences and humanities, including history and genealogy.
Alicia founded Aliconia Publishing, LLC, in 2019 to focus on ebook and traditional publishing, but the umbrella has expanded to include a number of publications online. Alicia herself is the author of My Lineage from the Roots Up (vol 1 published 2019, vol 2 published 2023) and Cousins of Nunney Castle: Four Hundred Years of Praters of England to Indiana (2023). Cousins and My Lineage vol. 2 are also available in the library of the Kosciusko County Historical Society, Warsaw, Indiana. Some of Alicia's lineage research is published under the GenTales banner at Substack and by Aliconia Publishing at PayHip. Alicia also answers questions on Quora regarding Lineage Research and Medicine/Science/Genetics topics.
